Nurse Steadman

Sister Steadman, our nurse, arrived on January 25.  That was the day we had the problem with our apartment door.  It was her apartment we were setting up that day and happened to have the tool box handy.  She has already won over the hearts of the our missionaries with her wonderful sense of humor and southern charm.  She's from South Carolina and quite a character.  At our Missionary Leadership Training meeting, President Cleveland had her introduce herself.  She explained, "my husband and I planned to go on a mission, but he up and died on me!!  (Say that with a thick southern drawl.)  We love having her, especially Sister Cleveland.  Funny thing about Sister Steadman is that she has had laryngitis since she arrived. Although she's improving, it's not happening fast enough for her.  We had to chuckle her first time driving in the snow, white knuckles!  It was her birthday on Friday, a Valentine baby, and we celebrated with her.
